We hebben De Beste Startup Award 2017 gewonnen! ‘’Het is bizar hoe snel onze droom om deze lunchrestaurants op te zetten is uitgekomen. En dat we nu ook nog prijzen ermee winnen voelt heel onwerkelijk’’, vertellen onze eigen Jasper, Sam en Wibe, oprichters van Happy Tosti.
Happy Tosti blijft groeien
Winkelconcepten die minder dan drie jaar bestaan komen in aanmerking voor de titel De Beste Startup van ABN AMRO Retailer of the Year. Vakgenoten en een onafhankelijke jury beoordelen een vijftiental startups op basis van hun bestaansrecht en originaliteit. Uit deze selectie zijn drie startups genomineerd. Dit jaar waren wijzelf, Happy Tosti, genomineerd en Jutter Speijs en Matt Sleeps. Na de nominatie mag het publiek stemmen. En dat is massaal gedaan!
Bijna 2.000 stemmen zijn uitgebracht. Ook de meerderheid van de jury heeft op ons gestemd. Zij roemen Happy Tosti om het feit dat ons businessmodel verder gaat dan de commercialiteit van de restaurants zelf. Dankzij het winnen van deze prijs hebben we veel mensen in de retail sector kunnen overtuigen van onze sociale missie. Dat gaat ons op de lange termijn helpen om verder te groeien.
Nog meer werkplekken voor mensen met een arbeidsbeperking
Heel binnenkort komen er drie splinternieuwe franchisevestigingen bij! Over niet al te lange tijd vertellen we waar die nieuwe Happy Tosti restaurants zitten. Ook bouwen we sinds kort onze eigen bakkerij waar straks 20 nieuwe werkplekken voor mensen met een arbeidsbeperking worden gecreëerd.
